Marsal burner design runs the oven burner left to right for the best heat distribution.
Vented controldoor conceals thermostat and safety valve.
Chamber opening is below a 1" lip that prevents heat from rolling out when the door is open. The SD448 and the SD660 both have a 7" door height opening.
Full length 10-gauge heat deflectors divert heat from the burners to ensure even heating throughout the baking chamber.
Thermostatically controlled from 300° to 650° F.
18-gauge stainless steel lines the front and doors of the SD Series ovens. The rest of the SD oven is manufactured using 18-gauge aluminized steel both inside and outside.
Spring-balanced oven door provides for a smooth door action.
Heavy-duty adjustable legs are welded to the oven's base.
Ultra-high-temperature fiberglass insulation allows for 0" clearance on both sides. We recommend 3 - 4” of clearance in rear for combustion air intake.
Gas connection is 3/4" in rear of oven.

SD Series commercial deck ovens have a two-inch-thick brick cooking surface and our exclusive left-to-right burner system, ensuring that every pie has part of the burner system directly underneath it. Pizza pies are crispier, tastier, and cooked much faster.
SD Series deck ovens also include our special air chamber, located below the cooking surface, which eliminates hot spots so there is no need to spin or rotate pies.
To give your pizza a better bake on top, we have designed a special side baffle system using slots instead of circles. These slots push more heat to the center of the oven, cooking your pies evenly on the top.

In order to provide you with exactly the right pizza oven, Marsal has developed two SD models - a four-pie and six-pie model - with extra-large door openings for easy access to the baking chamber and an 11-inch-high baking chamber. The SD 1048 and SD 1060 model deck ovens have all the same features of regular SD's but with 10-inch-high door openings. If an extra-large door opening is what you need, consider these models for your new pizza oven.
